Our Guiding Principles

  • ​To encourage self-determination of the individuals served, while providing supports and services to assist each person in attaining her/his individual choices and goals.
  • To support and serve with determination and purpose, doing all things as unto the Lord.  "And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as unto the Lord" (Colossians 3:23).
  • To recognize and respect the dignity and worth of all individuals.
  • To recognize that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and in rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948: Article 1).
  • To improve health-related quality of life and well-being for all individuals, an to provide a pleasant, nurturing, home-life environment within the LCC, Inc. community.  
  • To provide services to the satisfaction of people and their families in all aspects of care.
  • To encourage open communication throughout all levels of leadership, provide opportunities for continuous learning, and demonstrate ongoing improvement in all aspects of service delivery.
  • ​To assist people with living, working, and socializing as members of the community in which they live; and to teach, encourage, and provide support for individuals to exercise their legal and human rights.
